Entering the Chinese New Year – Kira Krümm is Contributing Editor for International Design Book, Featuring American Interior Design for China.
February 17, 2010 – Estero, FL: This Chinese Year of the Tiger represents the kind of force necessary to accomplish challenging tasks, and the latest by Kira Krümm, is a 3 year collaboration with a major Shanghai publisher on a hard cover book highlighting Krümm’s work and other interiors by American Interior Designers she selected for the book. Serving as the contributing editor of Modern Interior Design, American Collection, Kira Krümm shares modern American interior design with the people of China. The book was created for the Chinese market and intended to exemplify current American design styles.
Modern Interior Design, American Collection was recently released in China in both English and Chinese by Lexigraphical Publishing Group, well-known for their acclaimed design publication, Home Idea. As the contributing editor of the hard bound book, Modern Interior Design, American Collection, Ms. Krümm was honored with the responsibility of selecting top designers throughout the entire United States to showcase their unique and different styles of modern American design. The book features several of Kira’s projects in Estero, Naples and Marco Island: The Shanghai Room, Trieste, Veracruz and Madeira.
Of the process, Krümm said, “In selecting the interiors which are portrayed within these pages, my goal was to present an array of design styles from classic to contemporary set in both commercial and residential environments to illustrate a diverse spectrum of creativity and talent that defines American interior design today.”
The book is available only in China at this time in major bookstores throughout Shanghai.
